Cloud Series

My photographs of clouds are visual burst of energy: moments of joy, anger, exultation, frustration, sexual excitement, to name a few. Like clouds, these emotions are intangible, unpredictable, and can appear and disappear instantaneously.

I photograph the clouds on color slide film. By printing them on black&white paper, I create a negative image to highlight their emotional power rather than their atmospheric origin.
